 What format will I receive the images in ?
All images are stored as jpeg files and compressed at maximum quality. The compression is so good at this level that it is virtually identical to the original file. Images are in Adobe RGB colour space, and all files have been carefully colour corrected by our skilled operators. The files are in RGB as RGB has a wider colour gamut than the CMYK, colour space. This also keeps the file size smaller and speeds up download times.
Can you supply uncompressed or CMYK files ?
Yes, this may be possible and files can be supplied either on CD or electronically, once payment has been received.
How secure is my online payment ?
All payments are processed by Secure trading, where 2048 bit encryption is used to process your payment. This is the strongest encryption level employed by any payment service provider -they also use an additional fraud detection system.
What is your refund policy ?
Once you have paid for your image, our system automatically allows you to download it and therefore use the image you have purchased. Consequently, refunds can only be given in the highly unlikely event that an image is technically faulty and it is not possible for us to correct the fault within a reasonable time.
How do I use the Lightbox ?
The lightbox is a temporary store of images you are interested in. By clicking onto the "Add to Lightbox" icon next to the appropriate image, then clicking on the main "Add selected to Lightbox" button, the selected images will be stored in your lightbox and can be viewed at any time, by selecting your lightbox from the main menu. On multiple pages, you must click the "Add to Lightbox" button on each page before changing pages. Please note, the lightbox works specifically on your machine using something called "cookies", within your operating system. For your lightbox to function correctly, you have to make sure you have cookies enabled on your computer. If you need help with this, please email us. Images stored in your lightbox can be easily emailed to someone by clicking on the "Email this Lightbox to a friend" button.
How do I pay for my images ?
Once you have added your selected images to your shopping cart, click on "Purchase these images", and you will be directed to your purchase confirmation page. From here, clicking on purchase again will take you through to enter your card payment details.
Can I open an account with you ?
If you are a UK based company, you can open an account with us and pay on invoice. This is subject to a credit check and adherance to our terms and conditions, available online. Payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date. Your images can then be despatched to you on a CD or by email, depending on your requirement. A small handling charge may also be incurred for images despatched on CD.
Is it possible to have a larger image?
Yes. most images are available in larger format. Please contact FoodPhotoLibrary.com and we can discuss your requirements.

How do I search for an image ?
You can search either by keyword , category or image code. To search for either keyword, enter your keywords seperated by a space, then click Go. To search for 2 or more keyword occuring at the same time, seperate the keywords with a "+". If you know the image code, enter it in the code box and click Go. To search by category, select the category from the drop down list.
Is it possible to purchase rights managed images ?
In most cases, this is possible. Please contact FoodPhotoLibrary.com with your requirements.
Can you provide recipes for the food in the site ?
Yes, in most cases this is possible. Please contact us for further details.
Can I download watermarked images for use in design presentations ?
Yes, the watermarked preview images can be saved on your computer by right clicking(on a PC) then selecting save image, or CTRL click(Mac), then select save image.
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept all major credit and debit cards including, AMEX, Mastercard, JCB, Electron, Purchasing and VISA, plus Delta, Solo, Maestro and Switch. If your card is not listed, please let us know.

What sizes are the images available in?
The images are available in 4 different sizes online, and larger offline. The sizes are: A4=Approx. 30x21 cm or 12x8 inches A5=Approx. 21x15 cm or 8x6 inches A6=Approx. 15x10 cm or 6x4 inches A7=Approx. 10x7 cm or 4x3 inches Many images can also be ordered over the phone at approx A3 size which is: Approx 42x30 cm or 17x12 inches All images are 300dpi(dots/inch) in Adobe RGB For prices, please cllick the prices tab on the top menu
Where is my invoice for my food pictures?
Your food pictures invoice is not emailed to you but can be downloaded directly form your account. Simply log in and select the purchase that you require the invoice for. Then click on view invoice, then print invoice.
Can I obtain unwatermarked images ?
Sorry, but we are not able to supply unwatermarked images unless they have been paid for.
